Experimental protocol
In this activity, a bionic hand made from cardboard, threads, straws and rubber bands will be built. It is intended to relate the bionic hand with our own hand in order to understand the function of the fingers and the importance of the thumb, to grab or hold objects in different ways. When performing this activity it is possible to verify that a human hand, composed only of bones cannot move, being necessary other elements: the muscles, tendons and ligaments. A comparison will be made between these elements and the materials that will be used to build the bionic hand.
This activity comes under the program #cienciavivaathome. From the kitchen to the bathroom, even walking through the garage, no room was left out: after all, science is everywhere!
