Experimental protocol
Keeping your hands clean is one of the main public health measures, and one of the main actions to be taken to prevent disease and the spread of microorganisms. It is a simple gesture that only requires clean water and soap, and that saves millions of lives annually, by preventing the transmission of diseases such as influenza, polio, diphtheria, cholera or gastroenteritis.
During this activity, little scientists will investigate the existence of microorganisms in their hands and the extent to which washing them can help to prevent their spread.
This activity comes under the program #cienciavivaathome. From the kitchen to the bathroom, even walking through the garage, no room was left out: after all, science is everywhere!
