Dinosaurs, the "terrible lizards", walked the Earth millions of years ago. Some were as small as chickens while others were GIANT! The length of the Supersaurus viviane was equivalent to three buses lined up, the Sauroposeidon proteles was as tall as a 5 storey building, and the Argentinosaurus weighted as much as 15 elephants!
Dinosaurs had scales and/or feathers, some walked on two legs, while others walked on four and laid eggs. There are hundreds of species of dinosaurs and they were the largest animals that have ever lived on our planet.
